Home FAQ About Us
Q. Do I need to use any special fuels or additives in your crate motors?
A. No. Our motors are designed with today's fuels in mind. You'll notice different compression ratios for cast iron or aluminum heads and different applications.

Q. Do strokers run hotter? Will I have any cooling problems?
A. We use only brand-new blocks on our strokers with thicker cylinder walls and rust free water jackets along with consecutive compression. This means you should not have any cooling problems with your stroker.

Q. Will my motor have good drivability in city traffic?
A. Our motors are designed to be street friendly. This is why we use custom ground roller cams in most of our motors as this promotes a wider range of drivability.

Q. Will your motor work with power brakes?
A. Yes, all our motors work fine with power brakes.

Q. Some people say that it is normal for Chevys and Fords to leak small amounts of oil and that I should retighten oil pan bolts periodically?
A. On the "old" style Chevy's and Ford's this is true. We only use late style blocks with a one piece rear main seal. We also only use the new style one piece silicon rubber oil pan gaskets with steel grommets. This does "not" require retorking or any maintenance and is leak free.

Q. Does your crate motor work with overdrive?
A. Yes, with the low-end drivability of our motors, overdrive works fine.

Q. What parts will I need with your motor?
A. All our crate motors come with a suggested parts list to help you simplify installation.

Q. Is your engine covered by a warranty?
A. Yes, our engine is covered by a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty.

Q. How do you ship?
A. Our motors are packaged on a wooden pallet protected by a triple wall box. There is no crate, or packing fee. Shipping is via truck freight usually to a local terminal or a business. Approximate weight is 500 lbs. Optional deliveries are available.
