We at Smeding Performance are true hot-rod and race enthusiasts. We do not have high volume production runs. All engines are hand crafted on extremely precise, modern C.N.C. Machinery. The final result is a quality assembled long block built for durability and fun. We take extra measures to assure you, our customer, the very best engine that is available today. As the pictures depict, we size, weigh and balance all parts of the rotating assembly. This assures us a truly balanced engine and of course, a longer life.

All camshafts are degreed in to assure proper valve timing and maximum efficiency.
The pick up tube is tack welded to the oil pump before torqued into place.
Parts are individually balanced and arranged in sets of eight.
All clearances are confirmed prior to final assembly.
